Audio Speakers

• Speakers are devices that convert electrical signals amplified by the amplifier, into vibrations of air that can be heard by humans as sound.
• The most widely used type of speaker in the 2010s is the dynamic speaker, invented in 1925 by Edward W. Kellogg and Chester W. Rice.

How it works

• Speaker drivers look like cones or horns, and in fact the large surface area of the drivers is called the cone or diaphragm. These surfaces move back and forth to make the sound.
