- You will need the following equipment to begin the Switch or Web configuration of your device:
- Connecting to the Switch.
- A PC with a RJ-45 Ethernet connection.
- A standard Ethernet cable.
- Connect the Ethernet cable to any of the ports on the front panel of the switch and to the Ethernet port on the PC.
- Open your default browser type in the URL box your default IP address and then press Enter. Example 192.168.0.1 or 10.90.90.90.
- It will open login page enter password. Default password is admin.
Smart Wizard Configuration
- After a successful login, the Smart Wizard will guide you through essential settings of the D-Link Web Smart Switch.
- IP Information will guide you to do basic configurations in 3 steps for the IP Information, access password, and SNMP.
- Select Static, DHCP or BOOTP, and enter the desired new IP Address.
- select the Netmask and enter the Gateway address, then click the Next button to enter the next Password setting page.
- Type the desired new password in the Password field and again in the Confirm Password field, then click the Next button to the SNMP setting page.
- The SNMP setting allows you to quickly enable or disable the SNMP function.
- The default SNMP setting is Disabled.
- Click Enabled and then click Apply to make it effective.
- When IP Address in step 1 is changed, the following dialog box appears. Click OK to confirm all settings in the Wizard, and start a new web browser.
Web-based Management
- After clicking the Exit button in Smart Wizard, you will see the screen below:
Tool Bar > Save Menu
- The Save menu provides Save Configuration and Save Log functions.
Tool Bar > Tools Menu
- The Tools Menu offers global function controls Reset, Reset System, Reboot Device, Configuration Backup & Restore, Firmware Backup & Upgrade, and Language Management.
Function Tree
- All configuration options on the Switch are accessed through the Function Tree. Click the setup item that you want to configure.
- The following sections provide more detailed description of each feature and function.
